A sandwich pot, also known as a steam pot, is usually composed of two parts: a pot body and a bracket. The pot body is a two-layer structure composed of inner and outer spherical pots, and the middle layer often receives steam for heating, which can be divided into stirred and fixed types. The sandwich pot has a large heating area, more uniform heating process, high efficiency, shorter boiling time of feed liquid, easy temperature control, convenient installation, beautiful appearance, convenient operation, reliable use and many other advantages, which are widely used in the processing of various foods, and can also be used in the canteen or restaurant to cook Congee, stew, soup, etc. It is a kind of equipment that can shorten the time, improve the quality and improve the working conditions during food processing.


The sandwich pot uses steam pressure for heating, so it should not exceed its working pressure for a long time during operation. The intake method of the sandwich pot should be slowly opened until the required pressure is reached. The shut-off valve for condensate water should always be open if a steam trap is installed. If this equipment is not installed, open the valve first until steam overflows, and then slowly reduce the valve. During the opening process, a small amount of water vapor should be maintained until it flows out. For safety valves, users can adjust them according to their desired pressure. During the use of sandwich pots, attention should be paid to changes in steam pressure, such as adjusting the intake valve appropriately.


After stopping the air intake, the straight nozzle plug at the bottom of the pot should be opened to drain the remaining water. Before each shift of use, oil should be added to each rotating part of the tilting and stirring sandwich pots.


Maintenance of sandwich pots:

1. When there is steam leakage at the inlet and outlet pipe joints and the problem cannot be solved by tightening the nuts, packing should be added or replaced.

2. The pressure gauge and safety valve should be regularly inspected, and if there is a malfunction, they should be replaced and repaired in a timely manner.

3. After 50 hours of use, the gearbox should be removed and the lubricating oil should be drained. Rinse with kerosene or diesel, add lubricating oil, clean engine oil, and change the oil again after 150 hours of use. Depending on the specific situation, change the oil every 1000 hours of use.

4. Anti rust oil peeling off, should be applied in a timely manner, and the paint on the outer pot can be coated with aluminum powder ethylene water-resistant paint.

5. Sandwich pots generally require a reliable water pressure test after 5 years of use, and the interval between subsequent water pressure tests should be carried out according to the requirements of local technical departments.
